  1. I was allegedly 13 tearing up and down roads a country town whilst my dad was children should be seen not heard. road was more fun on My Kawasaki KE100 than the bush. an old bloke tried knocking me off a few times. One day I stopped, he said his son was killed on a bike, He uncovered his sons rebuilt Suzuki and he said if you are gonna ride on the road, ride to effing live. He let me ride his sons GN250 and taught me so much. Because of that I have lived since riding motorbikes and I feel a shiver all over typing this. Always have an escape plan every split second, a driveway, a foot path, a drop and slide. Always assume you need evasive action. Never relax, enjoy your ride when it is safe to do so

  2. I'll go you one better, first, second AND third bike all in one photo! First bike, a 2011 CBR250, second was the little 45cc minibike for terrorizing the back lanes, and third was the CBR1100XX. Wait, whats a "progression"? Shame they don't make the 1100 anymore, was the finest sports tourer the world has ever seen, and you can fight me on that.

  3. I love modern retro bikes so I phoned up our local Honda dealer as soon as this was announced. Unfortunately, the CB1000F is not going to be released in Australia. Imo a very silly decision by Honda. I'm sure many of us would be in the market for one.

  4. Let's see... on my two-wheeled Ps... 54... live on the NSW Central Coast. No ride at the moment (at least not one I own). Motoring journo who reviews cars and bikes... have penned a few yarns about what it's like to be a learner and what gear to buy and stuff - it's been seriously cool so far as journeys go.

  5. New member, calling in from around the flinders area of SA. I’ve enough bike related jobs to fill my recent early retirement, just need to get on with them and get a few of the old heaps back on the road. A mix of Brit and Japanese “classics” (shonky old sheds no one else wanted) and a modern KTM. Not adverse to a beer or a G&T, likes reading books of almost any genre but a soft spot for fantasy, Sci-fi and historical fiction. Listens to old rock music, cooks a decent curry and pizzas, grows chillis and likes dogs. Border Collies and terriers for preference.
