  • New middleweight adventure tourer arrives from late May, priced at $18,490 ride-away and headlined by semi-active suspension tech

CFMOTO Australia has announced the MY26 800MT-ES for the local market, introducing a new flagship-style option in the brand’s middleweight adventure touring range.

Set to arrive in authorised dealerships from late May, the new 800MT-ES is priced at $18,490 ride-away and comes backed by CFMOTO’s three-year factory warranty.

The headline feature is CFMOTO’s Intelligent Suspension System (ISS), which automatically adjusts front and rear suspension in real time to suit changing road surfaces, rider input and load. The idea is to reduce the need for manual setup while improving comfort, composure and control across a variety of riding conditions.

Power comes from a 799cc parallel-twin engine, with the 800MT-ES also bringing a strong standard equipment list aimed at long-distance touring and all-round adventure use. Included as standard are factory-fitted alloy luggage, cruise control, heated grips and seat, multiple riding modes, and a suite of Bosch rider aids.

CFMOTO says the bike has been designed to offer an easy, adaptable riding experience, with an upright seating position, natural ergonomics and a chassis intended to balance everyday usability with touring capability.

Electronics are a major part of the package. The 800MT-ES features a Bosch 6-axis IMU supporting cornering ABS and traction control, along with a bi-directional quickshifter, drag torque control, wheelie control and four riding modes: Sport, Rain, Off-road and All-terrain. An 8-inch TFT display is also fitted, along with tyre pressure monitoring and CFMOTO Ride app connectivity, subject to compatible device and app availability.

Underneath, the bike uses a chrome-molybdenum steel trellis frame with the engine acting as a stressed member, paired with an aluminium double-sided swingarm. Suspension consists of 41mm upside-down forks and a rear monoshock integrated with the ISS system, while braking is handled by J.Juan components with dual 320mm front discs, radial calipers and a 260mm rear disc.

Wheel sizes are 19-inch front and 17-inch rear, with CFMOTO fitting Michelin Anakee adventure tyres to support both sealed-road and light off-road use.

The MY26 800MT-ES will be offered in two colour options: Glacier White and Neptune White.
