Honda Australia introduces six-year motorcycle warranty

Standard warranty increases to 3 years for all on-road models, with an additional 3 years available when scheduled servicing is completed by authorised Honda dealers

Honda Australia Motorcycle and Power Equipment has announced a six-year motorcycle warranty for eligible on-road models, which it says is the first of its kind in Australia.

For eligible on-road Honda motorcycles delivered on or after 1 July 2025, the standard factory warranty will increase from two years to three years. Riders who complete all scheduled services at an authorised Honda dealer can extend coverage by up to a further three years, taking total warranty protection to six years.

The warranty has no kilometre limit, comes at no additional cost for the extended portion and is transferable if the original owner sells the motorcycle during the warranty period.

The extended coverage applies across Honda’s on-road range, including models such as the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade, Africa Twin, Transalp, CB125F, Navi and Gold Wing.

Chris Schultz, General Manager – Powersports and Products at Honda Australia, said the new warranty reflects Honda’s confidence in its motorcycles and commitment to long-term customer support.

“This is a major step forward for Australian riders. We are proud to be the first motorcycle manufacturer in Australia to offer up to six years of warranty coverage for eligible on-road models. This reflects the confidence we have in our engineering and the value we place on long-term customer support,” said Schultz.

The six-year motorcycle warranty applies to eligible on-road motorcycles delivered on or after 1 July 2025 and used for private, non-commercial purposes. The extended portion is activated by completing each scheduled service with an authorised Honda dealership using Genuine Honda parts and Pro Honda oils and lubricants.
