Urban Moto Imports has been appointed as the official Australian distributor, with the emerging brand’s road and off road models expected to arrive from Spring 2026
ZXMOTO is officially headed for Australia and New Zealand, with Urban Moto Imports confirming a long term distribution partnership that will see the fast rising manufacturer establish a local presence across both markets.
The announcement marks a significant move for the brand, which has quickly gained attention on the world stage through its debut World Supersport campaign. In its first season in the championship, ZXMOTO has already claimed three race wins, taking the fight to established names with a package built around performance, advanced technology, lightweight engineering and premium materials.
The deal signals the arrival of a new player in the Australian road and off road space, backed by a company that is making no secret of its racing ambitions. Founded by Zhang Xue, ZXMOTO has positioned competition at the centre of its growth strategy, with programs that extend beyond World Supersport to include the Dakar Rally and the Shanghai round of MXGP this September.
The brand is already making waves in WorldSSP, with Valentin Debise securing back to back wins at Portimão in Portugal before adding another victory at Balaton Park in Hungary. In its first season, the team currently sits third in the WorldSSP Championship standings.
ZXMOTO’s model range is expected to span a broad mix of road and competition focused machinery. Leading the charge is the 820RR, the race winning machine that has already proven itself in World Supersport. That model, along with the 820RR triple cylinder and 500RR four cylinder, is set to bring the company’s performance focus to the street.
Off road, ZXMOTO is preparing a line up aimed squarely at Australian conditions, including the MX250 and MX450 four strokes for motocross and supercross, as well as the ZX300 two stroke for trail riding and hard enduro. A LAMS approved model is also on the way, which should broaden the brand’s appeal for newer riders entering the market.
Urban Moto Imports says its existing infrastructure will be central to the rollout. The Melbourne based distributor is celebrating 15 years in the motorcycle and powersports business and brings with it an established dealer and support network across the region. With more than 100 dealers, as well as logistics, technical support and spare parts infrastructure already in place, the company is aiming to give ZXMOTO a strong start in both countries.
The first ZXMOTO models are expected to begin arriving in Australia and New Zealand from Spring 2026.
ZXMOTO describes itself as a new generation manufacturer focused on producing precision engineered motorcycles across a wide spread of segments, from supersport and commuter machines through to rugged off road bikes. The company says its bikes are developed using components from suppliers including Bosch, Brembo, TAISKO and KYB, paired with its own in house engineering program.
For Urban Moto Imports, the addition of ZXMOTO expands an already growing portfolio of international brands. Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Melbourne, UMI has built its business around dealer development, logistics, technical support, spare parts supply, warranty and customer support across Australia and New Zealand, while also placing an emphasis on community ride events.
