  • Honda Australia raises motorcycle warranty standard to six years

Honda Australia has introduced a warranty program covering eligible on-road motorcycles for up to six years, with no kilometre limit. The program is available on models delivered on or after 1 July 2025, with the company stating it is the first such offer in the Australian motorcycle industry.

The standard factory warranty has increased from two years to three years. Owners who complete all scheduled servicing at an authorised Honda dealer, using genuine Honda parts and Pro Honda oils and lubricants, can unlock an additional three years of extended coverage, bringing the total to six years. There is no additional cost to activate the extended warranty.

The extended warranty is transferable if the motorcycle is sold before the end of the warranty period.

Coverage applies across Honda’s full on-road range, from entry-level models such as the CB125F and Navi through to the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade, Africa Twin, Transalp and Gold Wing. Riders who purchased an eligible motorcycle from 1 July 2025 will be covered under the revised terms.

Chris Schultz, General Manager Powersports and Products at Honda Australia, said the program reflects the company’s confidence in its products.

“This is a major step forward for Australian riders. We are proud to be the first motorcycle manufacturer in Australia to offer up to six years of warranty coverage for eligible on-road models.”

James Greenwood, General Manager Ownership Experience, added: “Our customers might spend hours choosing a Honda motorcycle, but they spend years owning it. Our industry first 6-year warranty enables us to provide long term peace of mind, genuine Honda support and the freedom to enjoy riding with confidence.”
